Local festival in Seville's Los Remedios district (where Feria de Abril fairground is located). Honors San Fernando (King Ferdinand III of Castile, 13th-century king who conquered Seville from Muslims in 1248, buried in Seville Cathedral). Procession (procesión) of San Fernando statue from Parroquia de San Fernando (church in Los Remedios) through neighborhood streets accompanied by "gigantes" (giant puppet figures of Ferdinand and Isabella). "Verbena" (street party) with live music, food stalls (churros, buñuelos, tortilla de patatas). Smaller festival but notable for those already in Seville for late May events (Feria del Libro, post-Feria de Abril period)
