Barcelona: 6,000+ stalls across 4km (Passeig de Gràcia from Carrer d'Aragó to Diagonal, Rambla de Catalunya from Gran Via to Diagonal) selling 2 million books and 7 million roses. "Sant Jordi" (St. George) is Catalonia's patron saint; legend of dragon killed by St. George and rose grew from dragon's blood. Also: "Palau de la Generalitat" (Catalan government palace) opens courtyard to public (Plaza de Sant Jaume), with rose garden and free guided tours.
